The SE Hollowbody II | PRS Guitars

The SE Hollowbody II combines the power and stability of a solid-body electric guitar with the captivating resonance of a hollowbody instrument. The 58/15 “S” pickups deliver clarity and balance that sound big and musical in the hollowbody platform. Designed to look as good as it sounds, the SE Hollowbody II also features a figured maple top and back and mahogany sides as well as a mahogany neck (set-neck construction) with PRS trademark bird inlays. Both hollowbody and solidbody players will feel at home with the SE Hollowbody II.

I have one. It’s as good as any guitar that I have played. Great tone with those pickups using tone control, especially in the bridge setting.

I got one of these a few months back and still can't believe it is made in China. Flawless, best sound I ever had from a guitar and it is a joy to play. I have a PRS Core model USA Mira and this build quality matches the Mira's. Why pay £3-4K for an original? It really is that good.

I just got a PRS Hollowbody SE standard last week and I am so impressed with this guitar.
For a start, it is just beautiful to look at, but playing is such a really good experience.
As soon as you pick up this guitar you know that you have a quality instrument.
It sounds good unplugged as well!.

I was originally put off by the price and origin of this guitar but after picking one up for around $700 I am glad I didn't let my stubbornness rule. Its a great guitar as is. I still think it's too pricey new, but for what I paid for an essentially new guitar with great construction and no apparent flaws aside from the back not being book matched perfectly, I never see myself giving up this guitar. Through my peavey classic 20 and 50 amps with 15 and 4x10 cabs it has a sound I never had before.
