John's Roast Pork is good, but inflation hit them hard. Price keeps going up. Dallesandro's probably beats it (definitely if you go dollar for dollar) at this point. Angelo's Pizzeria is phenomenal and because their pizza is so good, people sleep on the cheesesteaks. Tony Luke's is pretty good, but you can only really trust the original location. The secret to a good cheesesteak is good bread, and these places use Amoroso's rolls.

If you ever find yourself on the wrong side of the Delaware, Gaetano's in South Jersey has some damn good cheesesteaks that keep up with the heavy hitters in Philly (though they use sesame seed rolls from South Jersey bakery Del Buono's instead of Amoroso's).
