The zoo is closed during the winter months, for anyone thinking of visiting during the colder months of the year. La Pascine is in Roubaix which is about 30 minutes away from Lille by tram or metro. Roubaix and Tourcoing are separate teowns but connected by the Lille public transport system, and both are worth visiting on their own (IMHO)
