Chaos in Washington shakes up Georgia election

The turmoil in Washington is being felt in the special election for Georgia's 6th Congressional District that has been reliably Republican. CNN's Nick Valencia reports.

Given the voting history of the past 20 years, Kansas and Montana are pretty much Red States while Georgia is a Purple State. In Kansas' and Montana's congressional elections where the Republicans normally win by double digits they were reduced to the single digits, and given that in the 1st congressional election last month in Georgia Ossoff was 1% off from winning by default, I have little doubt that he will win the runoff election in a few weeks.

Thinking it's just a congressional race is a mistake and really shows that many people don't understand how our government works. Congress is very important. They are the ones who draft bills and pass the laws that effect us all. If you don't care about this race, then you are saying you don't care if a person who doesn't share your values goes to DC to represent you.

All Americans need to work together, regardless of whatever party you are, whatever religion you are, we need to stand together and let Washington know that they work for us and not for themselves and donors.
