This is not the only case when Roma had the lowest period in football.
Notice that they were only 4 points above relegation zone while being 12th.
Back in 2004/05 season, Roma finished 8th in the league table, but they were only 3 points above Bologna, who were relegated by finishing 18th.
The club had 4 managers in just one season. Cesare Prandelli had even left the club before the start of season.
The club also had a disappointing Champions League campaign with only 2 draws and 4 losses. One particular game was a controversial defeat against Dynamo Kyiv, where that game result was anulled by UEFA in favour of the Ukrainian club after Roma fans attacked referee that led the game to be abandoned prematurely after the end of the first half.
