Sorry for the audio cutting out briefly a couple of times. I missed that when checking this video, my bad! :( I'll leave it up, unless you guys let me know that something important is missing - in which case I'll fix it and re-upload ✌️
Copy and paste it into notepad or similar to print it for free! 👌

I went to play guitar at an open mic night, but didn’t realize it was a comedy open mic. Since people always laugh at my guitar playing, it all worked out just fine, thank you very much.

Ive been going to Open Mic at a place near me off and on for last 7 years. Lately my teenage kids have joined me. My daughter sang Valerie while i played for her. My son just started playing in Octand he already plays and sings awesome - hes done Green Day, Cat Stevens, Bowie, Neil Young.... crazy, proud dad ;)!

I’ve been to a few open mic nights over the years. The first time I was petrified but everyone was really supportive. So I kept going back until they stopped doing it there. Since then I’ve been to a few here and there when I hear about them. It’s a really great way of learning new songs. So to anybody who hasn’t been to one but it thinking about it, be brave. You’ll be glad you did.

Starting doing some busking on the weekends a couple of months ago and have gotten a pretty good response from the public. -Did my very first open-mike night last night (went really well), and it's all thanks to you & your wonderful tutorials. Thank you, Andy. -You're my favorite on YouTube.

Love the generation gap reference to Toploader, who I never heard of. Song was originally done by King Harvest in the early 70s.

i wanted to share that i bought a capo when i got my first guitar. I was just so unfamilar with the fret board that i never used the capo. Your video was the first guitar tutorial ive watched that uses the capo and i just wanted to say how easy you made it seem. i had no idea that with the capo at the 3rd fret you could use the same finger shapes as the open strings! i will definitely be practicng this to show off to my friends

Cheers Andy. Another good lesson. I've never done an open mic night as i really can't sing at all. I used to play in the beer garden of my local on Sunday nights with few friends, passing the guitar round and taking turns, but only when it was pretty quiet and i was drunk. Good times.

Really helpful and it is uncanny how you released this video the exact day me and my classmates sang karaoke in Barcelona.

King Harvest did this song in 1972. My generation, no Who pun intended 😊

Another great song choice Andy, capo on the 3rd fret makes it nice and easy to both play and sing along to

My Favourite version of this song by Toploader is the Stargate Mix which I thought was released at the end of the year 2000 or the start of 2001. ❤Thanks Andy great session!

I always get excited when I see songs posted that is chords I already know. I also play the Ukulele, and that means I can play this song on my Uke too! This also sounds allot like George's Harrison's "My Sweet Lord." So, I need to look into that as well.

Thanks for the video

When I knew this song it was by King Harvest. I had to look up the Toploader version and it's a really good cover.

Hello, nice tips Andy. You remember when I said ‘I can’t do this’? Since then I keep on practising, almost getting there.
