We don't have carnet de passage in Thailand which is a big problem for owners of Thai registered bikes who want to travel. Apparently, it's possible to buy one in Malaysia, or as you mention Germany and also Switzerland.

What happens with the cost of consumable spares like tyres shown on the carnet? .. you might enter a country with a spare but not exit with it...did you replace a bald tyre or might you have sold it illegally?. Do you need to keep the bald tyre to prove things?

How can you sell your vehicle in carnet or any other countries without custom clear on vehicle.
No one is stupid to buy a vehicle without any proof of we’re the vehicle came from, it’s worthless.
I think this carnet is a scam .
