I just got my HTC One M8 yesterday. It is extremely fast, slick, light and thin (even with my Defender Otterbox I just to today for it), and the battery lasts forever. I found this very detailed Fast and Furious 6 racing game (very good graphics, high quality, etc.), played it pretty much most of the day along with other games and apps since around 9 am. It is now 10:30 pm and my phone still holds a 48% charge.

It loads almost immediately, has some amazing features, and so far the only thing I dislike with it is that you can't open the back without a little key or something thin enough to slide into the slot. Mine didn't come with a key, you have to buy separately, and a paper clip is too thick for the hole. Other than those minor things, I can't think of anything I don't like with this phone. It's a quality, high resolution phone and is extremely strong with the aluminum backing. After 2 days, I highly recommend. We will see how it holds out though over time.

IGN's review of one of the latest high end smartphones and no look of the gaming part? Nice, I have no words.

My HTC EVO is starting to cling to life from age, and I think I might upgrade to this next

TBH I think that the S5 regardless of the look has more bang for your buck.

This phone is better than last years version, yet Scott Lowe gave last years version a 9.5 and this years an 8.8, any reason ? And im not saying this as a slight towards scott but i think anyone that uses an iphone, deep down has some kind of bias towards the iPhone even if they don't know it or mean to display that in the review. I feel he's been very harsh to some android phones in his reviews of them, saying the note 3 was expensive and taking off points for that and then not doing the same for the iPhone 5s which is just as expensive.

I don't even have the m8, i have the desire 601 with the same OS. I love it despite the hardware differences

Typing this comment from the new galaxy S5 and I just left my iPhone 4s to this phone.

Gotta say I love this phone, in this case bigger is definitely better. Screen looks awesome, apps download faster than on iphond, free apps let you do a lot more than apple does.

Just an awesome phone. Never had the 4 so couldn't say if my 5 is a big difference, all u know is I love this thing

The only thing I don't like is the phone has too much bezel and the big black bar on the bottom where the capacitive buttons used to be just takes up space now

I don't know what is the deal with that camera, I have the htc one from last year and you can really see that it is only 4mp when you zoom in, it might be good for pictures in the night, but you can't even zoom in, because if you do you are gonna pixelated picture...

I was between this, and the original for last year, I don't really take that many pictures, so I ended up going with the old HTC One.

The 8.8 is not fair it use to be a 9.2. Let's not say about the last year model, which had a hire score than 9.

Sounds like they took some ideas from the G2 which is currently my phone. The knock on feature is especially handy, I can't see myself going back to a phone where i have to reach over and push a button to wake it up.
