In my time I have witnessed major declines. In my youth any light that was left on outside was covered with insects. No more. Black birds blacked out the sky during migration. No more. It is insane how separated we have become from Nature. I'd like to see a change.

If there's a will, there's a way. The problem is, currently, the ones holding most "ways" have no "will, " and vice versa. If he said there's no hope, that'd only escalate the destruction already caused by years of terrible decisions.

It could have been but most of the resources needed are being used in the opposite direction.

Politics need to take care of these topics seriously and not just talking about it before the votes… the people with power need to force some changes
