Also thier skin has no or negligible amount of melanin pigment.. making them highly prone to sunburn even if thier furr is cut too short..

I can't believe people shave their huskies. Thats kind of crazy to me, i mean why would we as humans alter them in a way that wouldn't happen natural. just weird. thanks for this post, keep educating bro.

It’s so interesting to hear this because I’ve had several vets tell me it’s perfectly fine to shave a husky as long as you don’t shave too much off. My mom and i shared our first husky (he’ll be 8 this year 😢😭) and she decided to shave him his first or second summer but none of our huskies have been shaved since even though the vet said it was fine. Weird how “medical professionals” don’t always know what’s best
