Someone please contact the BBC so that Tom and his video receives the coverage he deserves!! What an incredible role model, inspiration and human-being. Oxford and his students should be so proud of him. 👍👏👏

What a great role model! This guy needs to be on TV teaching our kids. He not only teaches math but also how to live life and be ever upbeat. Tom is our happy space on U Tube. Math was a long time ago for me but just listening to him makes me curious about how things work.

Incredible achievement. I could feel the weight and pain in your legs in the last stretch!

Awesome! I haven’t done much running but I have lots of biking. That last km looked awful, when the body doesn’t even have the energy to scream at you anymore, and you’re going purely on well power lol. Congratulations! 🏆
You know, a sponsor with a team-van full of food water first-aid, and a mattress would’ve been super.

Whilst this indeed an amazing accomplishment, I wish people were as proud and inspired by your PhD in mathematics as they are by you running 127km in 2 days.

Amazing and at such a great pace too😯😯😯 I did the Big Half marathon on Sunday at slower pace and that was tough so fair play to you and your brother 😄

ngl it was pretty inspiring to watch. I too would consider running every now and then, coz sitting all day doing questions is taking a toll on my back

Insane 80 miles approx. So more than 3 marathons. Faster than 3 sub 4 hour marathons back to back. Dad sounds Yorkshire

Congratulations! 🏆

You’ve inspired me for the 100-mile bike ride I’m planning in a little over a week.

When you got to the end of the first day I was wondering what you would do to ease the stiffness in your muscles and joints. After a ride, I rely on a good long walk to get some relief in my legs. I can’t imagine there’d be any appeal in a walk after a full day of running.
