Thanks for this! But I have a question! 😄
In a situation where there are 6 teams, why would the 6th place seed -- the one with the worst record out of all teams -- get to automatically make it to the second round? What is the logic here?
Forgive me, I'm not that into sports, and I'm sure there is some logic to it. But it strikes me that the top 2 placed teams should get the bye, since they performed better to warrant the omission from the first round, only requiring them to have 2 wins instead of 3. Whereas the lower placed teams will have to make up for their regular season performance and prove themselves by having 3 wins.
Is there a reason that this is how it works?
