Spray drones to help farmers in Turkey save water

#Turkey has tested spray drones, which officials say will help farmers save water while irrigating their crops. Officials plan to use unmanned aerial vehicles across Turkey.

In China especially in mountains everywhere they use drones. All tea plantations use drones for sprinkling insecticides & fertilizer.

Save water but waste electricity/fuel? This could work with spraying pesticides, as noted by some others. But it does not have the payload to carry enough water for irrigation. I'm guessing this is just a concept experiment and won't actually be used for water irrigation.

This is idiotic ! From an accounting point of view, this is absolutely stupid! Save water, but consume high costs for petrol, scaffolding, maintenance or electricity. What we need here is a small stationary water infrastructure.
