Question, do you have to be in safe mode to safely delete the contents of software distribution folder? Troubleshooter says pending restart but I can't just restart due to BSOD & driver power state failure. Also I have 2 folders, one now shows the .old, so which would I clear if it did restart in F4? The 2 updates that give the code are what gives the blue screens at start up and happen anytime I unplug the pc from power. The run as administrator troubleshoot detects nothing. Any suggestions? whenever i used the 1st and 2nd method, and when i restarted my log in screen didn't show up and at the lock screen, i pressed on "restart" and all it did was take me back to lock screen
