(n.) (Shak.)
- A lovemonger; a whimsical lover.
- One who deals in tricks of imagination.
- A deceiver who tricks people into giving them money.

From fancy from Middle English “fantsy” (inclination, liking or fine, elegant, ornamental) contraction of “fantasie” (fantasy).

Monger from Old English “mangere” (merchant, trader, broker, agent) from “mangian” (to traffic, trade) from Proto-Germanic (mangojan) from Latin “mango/mangonis” (dealer, trader) which is related to “mangonium” (displaying of wares).

Used in a sentence:
“You have been exposed as the fancymonger that you are, and your attempts at honeyfugglery will garner you neither sympathy nor specie; now away with you!"
