agia monaxia - erechleida (from tsundoku vol 1)

Показать описание
Tsundoku is a Japanese slang word which describes the act of acquiring many books or reading materials but letting them pile up in your home without reading them.
It is also the name of an ongoing project by Agia Monaxia,
a (possibly) never ending series of albums each containing a handful of musical ‘chapters’.
Each of these chapters represents a special book that has had a personal impact on one or both of the members of Agia Monaxia.
The music acts as a soundtrack to the book it represents, or at least a snapshot of the general feeling it portrays. It is intended as background music for reading, meditation or yoga but can be used in any context really, it’s just there to create a mood.
The music on vol1 represents the following books:
‘Jitterbug Perfume’ by Tom Robbins.
‘Stranger in the woods’ by Michael Finkel.
‘Strange news from another star’ by Hermann Hesse.
‘Ubik’ by Philip K Dick
Tsundoku will be available in a series of bespoke cassette tape volumes, each personally made to order by the band and each one packaged inside a specially made book of its own, to be collected over the years creating your very own musical tsundoko.
Volumes 1 and 2 are due for release in December 2020 and were recorded earlier in the year using the sounds of metal bowls, running taps, marbles being shaken, stressballs being squeezed , a calimba, synthesizers, loopers, tapes, a storm outside, a floppy disk, some eggshakers, a guitar being shaken, some tea being prepared and other household (and non household) objects.
