Just to clarify about the PSN Login requirement for GoW Ragnarok.

During my testing, my PSN was/is NOT connected/linked to Steam. I was not even prompted to 'Login' to PSN on either my Desktop or Steam Deck.

Other friends were simply able to say "NO" and play the game.

I'm not sure why other people are seeing a login screen when I didn't or why others say "No" to login their game will close.

This needs to be investigated and I'm not sure how to properly do so...

It's going to tee off PS5 owners knowing that God of War Ragnarok runs way better on PC than it ever did on console

500 bucks for a PS5 - 2 years of online fees - 700 bucks for a Pro - another $100 for a disc drive and a stand - and you've _still_ gotta pay every month to use the thing online. And this is without the cost of buying a single game, which are 70 bucks _minimum_
"Console is cheaper than PC" _lol_

This game runs at 120 fps in fidelity mode on PC and 150 fps in balance mode on PC. Of course it will go crazy in performance mode in terms of the fps on PC. Those Sony zealots/fanboys are foaming at the mouth that a PlayStation 4 game runs better on PC. Honestly, I'm glad PC Gamers are enjoying God of War Ragnarok.

This is a PS4 game that has a 120fps mode on PS5. It’s gonna run like butter on pc.

Console gamers. Will it be 60 FPS?
PC...~230 FPS in Ragnarok.

Thank you for this Alex! I run an Intel Arc A770 and I can’t wait to benchmark this game.

PSA: do not log in to PSN. For some reason, it would hard crash the game. Signing out somehow fixed the issue.

I really love Alex's PC Port Reviews and SteamDeck reviews. It's too bad his only 1 person and can't do this for all games that exist since I find them really useful.

190GB download size is outright insane but im glad it runs well out the box. I have a ps4 pro but i waited an extra year for this PC version and im hyped theres no account requirement even tho i already have one.

I still find it ridiculous that this game is delisted in my country... I have the 2018 GOW game on steam, but I can not have this... great.

CPU optimization is king and paramount, the CPU is the heart of a PC / console and basically dictates how everything else is going to perform. Ragnarok for me runs at 300+ fps without frame generation just DLSS Quality and ultra settings on a 5800X3D + RTX 4080. In fact I've got so much spare performance that I'm using DLDSR to run the game slightly above 4K resolution for maximum image quality capped at 100 fps. How ironic that we got frame generation in a game that doesn't need it at all compared to Warhammer 4K Space Marine 2.

Good work, again. This game literally has run at a stable 144fps for me, so far; native and max settings. It's been perfect for me on a 7900xtx, it literally doesn't drop from that. I need to see how high the FPS can max out at now.
