Elon Musk Announces Tesla Semi Gen 2 2025 NEW UPDATE! Replace Battery, Feature & Mass Production! The Tesla Semi is currently still in its first generation, but this year, along with a new factory, Tesla will launch the Semi Gen 2 with significant changes. Notably, the battery used in the electric truck will also be upgraded. Elon Musk has officially confirmed that the Semi will come with an extremely valuable feature that will surprise truck drivers, something that is hard to find in any other electric truck on the market. This feature will greatly enhance the economic benefits for Semi owners, and for Tesla, it will be a major selling point.

Elon Musk Announces Tesla Semi Gen 2 2025 NEW UPDATE! Replace Battery, Feature & Mass Production! Elon Musk has estimated that the big rig could generate $1 billion in revenue per month and over $10 billion per year. With the new factory’s large-scale production, a significant number of Semi Trucks will soon be delivered to all customers who have pre-ordered, and new customers will also be able to purchase the Semi by the end of this year.
Beyond that, Musk also confirmed during the Q4 earnings call that the Big Rig’s pricing will be structured based on how much people pay, and its total cost of ownership will be significantly lower. All the exciting updates about the Tesla Semi Truck, the world's number-one electric truck, all will be revealed in today's episode—Welcome to Tesla Car World!

Elon Musk Announces Tesla Semi Gen 2 2025 NEW UPDATE! Replace Battery, Feature & Mass Production! Many people still mistakenly believe that the Tesla Semi is just an ordinary electric truck, with nothing particularly special compared to other electric semi-trucks. Some even think it falls behind diesel trucks. Over the years, Tesla hasn’t focused too much on the Semi, likely because it doesn’t generate as much profit as passenger vehicles. This is evident in the small production numbers, despite its initial launch in 20 17.
However, this delay is not without reason—production capacity at the Nevada factory has been limited, and Tesla needed time to collect real-world data from drivers. The goal is to ensure that when the Semi is mass-produced, it will be a true revolution rather than just another electric truck.

Yikes a rolling gigantic battery firebomb.

you didn’t mention that the Tesla trucks the weigh 10, 000 pounds more than a diesel truck. That requires a large amount of energy to pull its own weight. this also makes it much heavier on the roads and over bridges.

Say what you will but not many are out here advancing tech to this degree. Making it safer, and more comfortable for drivers is my concerns. But as my mate, who drives, has pointed out that finding mechanics who'll know how to even work on these is a hidden challenge.💡

You forgot:
Anti-Jackknife Software
Software with FSD that would allow multiple Semi's to operate in tandem.

Gen 2? Obviously, we are still talking about prototypes. Tesla has to step up quite a bit to not stay behind.

Tesla semis will also stimulate the photoelectric market since PV systems will also lower fuel expenses and have a speedy recovery of costs.

And TIME! How much faster(and safer) can the Tesla Semi climb hills like "The Grapevine" because it can maintain its speed while climbing(and descending) hills.

Tesla should design quickly replaceable battery packs instead of owning them they pay by the use like propane tanks eliminated long stop over to recharge... batteries can be charged off peak hours preferably with on-site power generators no huge battery replacement costs

Good luck trying to pull that into a charging station . It took Pete 3 years to get bills passed, funding alocated, and construction work to begin. I think he got 1200 or so charging stations installed, and Ive not seen one that can accomidate that truck.

Good luck trying to get this done under tthis adminstration .This may have to wait until 2030.

Don't forget, Tesla had to install the charger network to make EVs attractive. The same applies to trucks, and the chargers are a step up on car chargers. The Semi will be more expensive to buy and operators will need their own chargers to start with. Sure the cost of ownership is lower long term, but the world is due a recession within the next 3 years, just as the Semi is ramping production. That's the time that old equipment is used longer.

To have the Tesla Semi on the road in numbers will be revolutionary. Auto traffic is constantly frustrated by semi “truck races” up a grade, that try to gain a 1-2 mph advantage over other semi trucks by taking up the left lane for long stretches at maybe at 45-50 mph while auto drivers fume behind them. Having an electric semi that can go up any grade at 60-65 mph should relieve a lot of this auto frustration.

Elon's electric Simi truck can only carry 4 tons, a regular Simi can carry 28 ton!
