COVID-19 Phase One Mobile Clinics

In January 2021, Mobile teams of Halton Region Paramedic Services, Halton Region Staff and Halton Healthcare staff began vaccinations for residents, staff and essential caregivers at long-term care homes, retirement homes, and other prioritized congregate living settings. This work was tremendously important, helping protect our most vulnerable residents during the early roll-out of our vaccination program.
Since January 2021, our mobile units have vaccinated over 20,000 clients throughout multiple high-risk long-term care and retirement homes, congregate settings, food manufacturing industries and Homebound Seniors. These mobile teams continue to play a critical role in our vaccine program, vaccinating additional congregated settings and homebound seniors and their essential caregivers. Thank you to everyone involved for helping keep our residents safe and healthy.
