Very short, yet simple and easy-to-understand. You explained twice as much in 3x less time than the way GMs explain it.

HOW AN 860 ELO PROVES WHAT A RUBBISH OPENING THE ITALIAN - DEUTZ - MAX LANGE IS... This game went by the book for the first 7 moves (and how rare is that?? One in 1000 games) - Black and white doing exactly what Igor, Alessia Santeramo, Miodrag Perunovic, Gotham Chess et al advocate. So you cannot accuse White of not playing it properly - he did : precisely. It proves the Italian is one of the worst openings out there and when Igor begins his video by saying it is one of the most popular in the amateur levels - well that's why they're still amateurs... 1. e4 e5
2. Nf3 Nc6
3. Bc4 Bc5
4. O-O Nf6
5. d4 exd4
6. e5 Ng4
7. Bf4 ... Exactly by the book and this video

These first 7 moves are exactly by the book. Black is expected to castle short here (as per the video) so that white chases away the knight on g4 via h6, the knight retreats to the only safe square : h6 and white takes it with his Bishop wrecking the pawn structure in front of Black’s King.

Proving that "castling within the first 10 moves" is yet another gross piece of mis-advice from the so-called experts this 800 ELO does no such thing. Instead he proves what a rotten opening the Italian / Deutz Gambit / Max Lange is and why it should NEVER be attempted, by the brilliant but often condemned move…

f6 !! which only goes to show the experts talk absolute rubbish when advising against playing f6 in any circumstance.
8. h6 fxe5 White chases away the Knight regardless but it costs a pawn
9. Re1 d3 White pins e5 trying to cling on to the erroneous notion that the Italian is a half-decent opening but Black only proves
10. cxd3 Bxf2+ that it is foolhardy...
11. Kh1 Bxe1
12. Qxe1 d5
13. Bb3 O-O
14. hxg4 exf4 The Middle Game reveals all the flaws of the dreadful Italian opening
15. Nc3 Bxg4
16. Bxd5 Kh8
17. Ne5 Nxe5 White tries desperately one more time to make a horse race of the game but
18. Qxe5 Qh4+ his Italian opening was so awful and created so many weaknesses it is too late
19. Kg1 f3
20. Ne4 f2
Resigns

So my message to all amateur players is to stop using this garbage. There's no point learning one of these anyway - you only play White some of the time and in most cases up to 2000 ELO Black doesn't even answer 1.e4 with e5 anyway. Do you wanna try playing the Italian against Caro Kann, Sicilian or Scandinvian? yeah good luck with that!! DO NOT PLAY THE ITALIAN.
