This YouTube video really doesn't do justice to how impressive it is to watch this thing running on a 16-bit machine with 1 megabyte of RAM, a 7 MHz processor and an 880K floppy drive for storage. The fluidity is all the more impressive when you remember that the demo is constantly loading new data in from the floppy drive while displaying all that animation.

One of the best demos ever. In those the days pc guys were behind their monochrome/hercules monitor playing paratrooper with bleep bleep sounds. We (the cool dudes 😜) were looking at 4096 colors, listening to 4 channels of stereo sound, had a gui based OS, in a compact housing, still have warm feelings for the 68000 co-assisted by Paula, Agnus and Denise. What an incredible machine this

In 1998. I`m sold my A1200 with Blizzard 1230/IV (8MB SD RAM) accelerator card and 1GB HDD inside. That Amiga was my second computer. First was C-64 with Final Cartridege III and Floppy drive. That time was very exciting days. On these days I have A400T on my workplace and use it for TV production with Scala MM300 installed. Never forget Amiga till today. On present days I`m work on Linux. On my workplace I have every OS and hardware. Under bed in my bedroom I have C-64 with cassete drive, Final Cartridge III module and two joysticks in near mint condition. One day when I`m gone that C-64 goes with me in grave. Born with Commodore, die with Commodore.

Listened to this today. Found my Amiga 500 from the attic and was surprised the whole demo still ran off the disk :)

I loved the demo scene. I was gutted that when I moved to PC with its amazing leap in performance that there was no demo scene! I was stoked for the next level of demo. I've since found some but strange how it never became a big deal like it was on the older machines, Commodore 64 and Amiga.

Love the fact that it is perfectly timed and includes the real disk loading sound. :0 Memories ;)

Amazing demo. I loved showing my envious megadrive owning friends. Eat that Sonic.

I remember always loading blank discs to see what was on them. Was always some form of fun content.

Fit that on 880k feckers! that's how you use every byte wisely. That would be around a gig

THIS is special. Just like 9 Fingers and Jesus on E's. The Amiga was ahead of its time, at the time....

Reminds me of a early The Prodigy video. Everybody In The Place or Charlie.

Remember those days when we actually 'loved' our computers and that they weren't just tools?
