What's the furthest you've ever gone to take your revenge?

Last week I was searching for a birthday gift. There was only one free sales assistant, and I could tell she didn’t want me to approach her because she was deliberately avoiding eye contact and was walking away when I got close. I waited for 10 minutes in the hopes that another sales assistant would be free, but they weren't, and it was getting late, so I approached the original assistant. She basically brushed me off without offering any help. When my husband arrived, her whole attitude changed, and she suddenly wanted to do her job.

I was looking at a bag I would’ve bought for myself if it weren’t for the rude assistant. My husband asked me if I wanted to get it, but I said no because that sales assistant would’ve earned the commission.

A few days later, my husband surprised me with the exact same bag. I asked him if he got it from the same store and if the same assistant had helped him. He said yes, so I told him I wanted to return it. He knows she was rude and dismissive, but he still didn’t want me to return the bag, saying I would miss out because of a stranger. If he had bought the bag from a different sales assistant, I would’ve kept it. I returned it, and now he’s upset because I returned his gift.

Why would he buy from someone who was so nasty to his girl? I’d love to know if he sought her out when he went back to the store. It’s so thoughtful of him to buy her a bag, but the woman was clearly treating OP differently based on her appearance/dress so he should not have bought from her. All he had to do was go to another sales person. Now he’s making her gift about himself when he went against her express wishes.

Should've taken it back to the store when the manager was there and asked for another sales associate to get the commission. If they said no then return it and buy again it somewhere else.😊

I say, return the bag so she loses commission, then use the refund to buy the bad from a different associate so they get the commission. She gets the bag and doesn't give a commission to the rude associate

Should have asked for the manager or a different sales assistant at that time I would have waited around until someone else was available and not given that woman any commission at all. Second I would have filed a complaint against the woman saying she ignored me and tell my husband walked up how odd. Is this how she treats all the women and she only waits on men or is she looking for a man is she a player in the shop what's going on here? Definitely make the manager wonder second I would be pissed at my husband too. Husband is totally wrong should have never bought the bag basically he was belittling his wife telling her oh you don't got to worry and he bought into the woman smiling and fawning over him. Tells you what kind of personality he's got This does happen I've worked retail enough part-time jobs at Christmas and stuff to see it and I own my own retail shop positively refuse to hire women who fawn over men because they're dangerous They don't have a problem going out with married men who come into the store to buy things for their wives. I don't approve of that I don't need women coming in screaming at my employees. Every customer no matter who they are how they're dressed what kind of money they look like they have or don't have It's treated the same You never know who's a millionaire The people who buy branded clothing are usually the ones who don't have the money. They're just living on credit. The ones who have the money pay cash and don't need to ask how much something costs. s

... I understand you having negative feelings over what she did but the husbands gesture you was out of love and kindness its really rude to return someones gift especially if they know about it. ( I myself might return a gift to a store oor other if i know i wont use it but id never tell the person who gave it to me that i did because that might hurt their feelings.)

It’s honestly not that deep. Yes she was a bitch but her getting the like 10 -20 bucks from your husband buying that purse doesn’t matter, he wanted to do something nice and you return it just cause you didn’t want her to get the cash,

And if you be defending her saying, “she said she didn’t like that why would he buy from them that’s blatant disrespect” maybe she was the only one around again and the husband didn’t know where else to buy the purse or didn’t want to spend time going purse hunting to find the same thing somewhere else.

So you hurt your husbands feelings over something that wasn’t even that deep, so yes she’s a bitch but he has every right to feel hurt about you returning his gift over a girl you have had like one interaction with it’s not an ‘AITA’ post but still YTA
