I meant to just look up a simple question about what an API is to understand what the pushbullet apps needs for it to work between my phone and desktop. Learning all kinds of stuff having to wear different hats as Dr. Mom, Teacher Mom, and now Mommy IT R Us, LOL. I came upon your API 101 video, stayed for the part 2, then 3, and I'm drawn in! Even though I don't need to really learn about it in depth, your analogies and explanation are simple enough to understand as a lay mommy who is just trying get things to work a little more conveniently during all this stay home coronavirus craze. Really appreciate it!!!

Summary: APIs, like most of enterprise IT infrastructure, services, and applications, conforms to standards that allow Consumers and Providers to operate independently of one another while still providing and consuming resources.

I know it was just an example of IBM's Mainframe vs Other distributed services as Linux.. but just for the record (I felt like I had to comment it lol), you'd never get the same performance or stability or trustability as you have with Mainframe on other environments heheh... Nonetheless thanks for the vids, really nice and clearly explained..
