Illinois will become one of three states to require employers to offer paid time off for any reason after Gov. J.B. Pritzker signed a law on Monday that will take effect next year.

They need to give all employees including temps workers vacation pay and also holiday pay

Only a fool would think that the workers have gained something. Remember almost everyone is supposed to benefit from this. So basically you can have 40 hours accumulated during a year. Your employer is going to pay for that either one day at a time or multiple days at a time. So do you think for some reason if there are 50 workers in your place of employment that they are just going to absorb that cost or do you think they’re going to pass it on to you or people who deal in the product you either produce or distribute. So if you go to McDonald’s, for example, you’ll pay more for your food and when you go to a dentist, you’ll pay more for his or her services. If you think you’re getting something for nothing, you are mistaken. You are the one that’s going to pay. If I buy a product for my business produced in your state and they do not have competitive prices, I’ll go elsewhere, how does that help you?

So they don't have to give a reason? People just taking paid days off? Expect the prices of all of these businesses to go up. Ultimately, you pay for this.
