Oh. I feel this one. My husband once exited a vehicle that belonged to my Dad and bkew a hole through the driver's side door. He begged me not to ever tell. We not only replaced the door but the striping on the side. Then I spend a couple of hours making the new door look not new. Then I made the hubby thoroughly clean the rest of the car so the door and car would match. Daddy never sau6d anything but I know he knew. He never missed a thing.

Yeah, my dad taught me to open the action anytime you pick up a gun and to never let someone hand you a gun until they open the action.

Unless you can see into the action, just assume it's loaded.

One time i got back from target shooting with some friends, we all have our firearms licenses and havent had any issues with their gun safety before.

Every time i handle a firearm, the first thing i do is clear it to ensure its unloaded, and when unloading my friends gun i cleared it and watched a 308 round drop to the ground....

Lets just say that was the last time i went shooting with that friend

I have a friend whose brother thought it'd be a good idea to unload his lever action by repeatedly cycling it...while sitting in his brand new car...his brother shot a hole through the roof of his brand new car. It had a nice little hole with powder blast around it in the ceiling of the car and a nice, slightly bigger hole out the roof filled with silicone for as long as he owned it.
