I’ve grown lovage in the Seattle, WA area and found that it stayed green throughout the year for me. It got extremely tall and wide so I needed to divide it after a couple years. Dividing it was a big, big job as the root system on it was extensive.

I've never tried lovage. I didn't know it tasted like celery and I love celery. I'm going to add it to my seed list.

yes! i am in zone 6b and i love the smell of it. wish i could use it to perfume the whole house....i have cooked with it and found out how strong it is, someone said use it like celery. - don't do that! one leaf is probably too much. i started it with winter sowing and 3 plants has turned out to be more than enough. i have dried it to make lovage salt, and i heard someone else say let a stalk simmer in the pot for ONE MINUTE and take it out.
