Tip:
If they have a pray need but aren't going willingly you can assign levers in the far side of the temple and have them go flip it, then there's a chance they will pray.
Repeat as needed.

A bit annoying but better than having mad dwarves

Each dwarf worships their deity(s) at different levels. To see how passionately they need to worship you can see that in their descriptions.

"Ardent worshipper" is a religious zealot. Needs to worship. Will need a temple dedicated specifically to their deity, or they will spend every day in the "no specific deity" temple trying to satisfy their need.

"Dubious worshipper" can get along fine with the "No specific deity" temple.

Mind you, dwarves can change their religious leanings, especially if you make an ARDENT worshipper a priest, and they are a skilled SPEAKER. A religious conversion can take place.

also if engravings have things depicted in them some dwarfs dont like, that room for that dwarf will be of less value. ...Dwarf A loves the engraving: room value:1000. dwarf B doesnt like engraving: room value to him: 500.

I've run into an issue with some dwarves being very unhappy that they can't pray despite there being a temple present. I've seen it on mercenaries who joined my fort as soldiers, I think it's a bug because they also won't sleep in an assigned bedroom. Any known fix for this?

One easy way to increase room value is to put a simple (never use) lever and link it with several stuff like bridges. For each mechanism (high in value) the room value increases and it doesnt take up space at all.

If I have a temple for a god already and they petition me to create a new one for the same god, do I need to make another one or will that first one be good?
