Social media platform sees breakthrough in Tanzania in 2017

Tanzania has long been associated with fast-rising use of mobile phones. 2017 to 2018 has been a breakthrough year for the Tanzanian on Twitter. Government Ministers January Makamba and Dr Kiganwalla and MP Zitto Kabwe are names who have attracted tens of thousands of followers, and are taking politics to this new medium. But 'ordinary Tanzanians' are joining them as well, and some are having a surprising impact. CGTN's Daniel Kijo has more.
