Throughout 2013, Art21 celebrates the 100 artists who have appeared to date throughout the first six seasons of our award-winning series, "Art in the Twenty-First Century." The series was first broadcast on PBS in 2002. With the completion of Season Six in 2012, Art21 has profiled 100 of the most iconic artists of our time.

We began production at the end of the 20th Century, and it has been an amazing journey to work with so many remarkable artists. As we look back at this milestone, we look forward to sharing new features all year long. Throughout 2013, we will release previously unpublished content from our rich archive as well as new material produced in collaboration with the artists: films, interviews, artworks, reading lists, and various other updates.
