He performs his songs "Lead Me" and "Try" and shares the inspirations behind these two songs. Elaine then welcomes up and coming artist Hope Darst, who discusses her ongoing need to fully give her heart to Jesus and trust in Him, even when things haven't gone the way she prayed they would. Matt Hammitt, your song Try is speaking so much to so many of the seasons of my life. Walking with struggling families of critically ill babies and children as a brand new NICU/PICU RN wondering where I would find my words and heal my grief for their pain, and seeing God’s miracles of open heart surgeries in the room on 2 lb baby’s an d the separation of Siamese twins, then at 25 my own 5 pregnancies in 5 years( 2 miscarriages, with 1 being a possible type of obstetrical cancer, and the last a baby spending 5 weeks in the NICU), I later was disabled by a traumatic injury at work in the OR, and later my pastor’s son succumbed to suicide. Through a lot of working through Grief, Surrender and letting God be big enough I counsel in MH, Suicide, Chemical Dependency, and Depression. But, songs like Try bring Hope! I help with Dave Pettigrew by sponsoring the There is Hope Movement and will the Overflow Foundation- 15:13. I would love ❤️ to find out how to see Bowen’s Heart ❤️! 🙏🙏🎵🎶
