for a sec, when she looked into the box she seemed (to me) like she might cry and it absolutely broke my heart - and then she just smiles and joyfully pets the dog and I've tears running down my face. what a beautiful reaction - not sad, that the old dog passed away, but happy that there is a new dog, deserving all her love and hopefully bringing joy to her. your mom has such a positiv personality!
