Bigger-than-expected fall in house prices

The price of a typical home has fallen £14,600 in the year to August

Some economists believe it "marks the start of a significant further drop in house prices" - and while this could be good news for first-time buyers, the benefit may be wiped out by higher mortgage rates.

Younger people have higher chances of owning a house in Neptune than they do in their own country.

Bring back proper lending controls and get property back to a reasonable salary level.

Nonsense. Average salary in the UK is £33k. The vast majority buy a property as a couple so combined salary is £66k. Either way the multiple is closer to 4 times salary which is why prices aren’t crashing. Report properly next time.
