ΤΙ ΕΙΝΑΙ Η ΜΕΘΕ;
Η Μονάδα Ενημέρωσης Θυμάτων Εγκληματικότητας (Μ.Ε.Θ.Ε) δημιουργήθηκε στα πλαίσια του ευρωπαϊκού προγράμματος BeSecure-FeelSecure (BSFS) και λειτουργεί στον Δήμο Πειραιά παρέχοντας δωρεάν υπηρεσίες υποστήριξης σε θύματα κάθε τύπου εγκλήματος και στο περιβάλλον τους.
ΠΟΙΟΣ ΕΙΝΑΙ Ο ΣΚΟΠΟΣ ΤΗΣ ΜΕΘΕ;
Σκοπός της είναι να παρέχει δωρεάν υποστήριξη σε θύματα κάθε τύπου εγκλήματος και στο περιβάλλον τους παρέχοντας χρήσιμες πληροφορίες για την περίοδο αμέσως μετά την τέλεση ενός εγκλήματος, ψυχολογική υποστήριξη, ενημέρωση και κατευθύνσεις προς άλλους αρμόδιους φορείς, καθώς και νομική συμβουλευτική.
ΠΟΙΕΣ ΕΙΝΑΙ ΟΙ ΥΠΗΡΕΣΙΕΣ ΤΗΣ ΜΕΘΕ;
Οι παρεχόμενες υπηρεσίες περιλαμβάνουν α) την ατομική αξιολόγηση από κοινωνικό λειτουργό, β) συνεδρίες µε ψυχολόγο ή και κοινωνικό λειτουργό, γ) παραπομπές σε αρμόδιους φορείς, δ) νομική συμβουλευτική, ενημέρωση και καθοδήγηση σχετικά µε τα δικαιώματα, τις διαδικασίες, τους νόμους, καθώς και οποιεσδήποτε άλλες χρήσιμες πληροφορίες σχετικά το πλαίσιο του συστήματος ποινικής δικαιοσύνης (δεν θα παρέχονται νομικές υπηρεσίες).
Η Μ.Ε.Θ.Ε στελεχώνεται από μια έγκριτη διεπιστημονική ομάδα που αποτελείται από δύο (2) Κοινωνικούς Λειτουργούς, μια (1) Ψυχολόγο και μια (1) Δικηγόρο

WHAT IS THE CRIME VICTIMS INFORMATION UNIT OF PIRAEUS?
The Crime Victims Information Unit for of Piraeus was established within the framework of the European project BeSecure-FeelSecure (BSFS) and operates in the Municipality of Piraeus providing free support services to victims of all types of crime and their environment.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE UNIT?
Its purpose is to provide free support to victims of any type of crime and their environment by providing useful information for the period immediately after the commission of a crime, psychological support, information and directions to other competent bodies, as well as legal advice.
WHAT ARE THE SERVICES OF THE UNIT?
The provided services include a) individual evaluations by a social worker, b) sessions with a psychologist and / or a social worker, c) referrals to competent local bodies, d) legal advice, information and guidance on rights, procedures, laws, as well as useful information about the context of the criminal justice system.
The Unit was established within the framework of the BSFS project under the guidance of the Laboratory of Urban Criminology of Panteion University and provides the expertise of an experienced interdisciplinary team of: (2) Social Workers, (1) Psychologist and (1) Lawyer. The Unit will also be supported by (2) volunteers.

Big and commercial districts are vulnerable for both inbound and outbound smuggling, street and organized crime.
The Be Secure Feel Secure (BSFS) project aims to reinforce urban security and promote positive perception of urban safety by providing strategies & tools to link the main urban security stakeholders & facilitate their collaboration in physical-and-cyber space.
BSFS will introduce the Local Council for Crime Prevention (LCCP), where the urban security city stakeholders will be represented (municipality, police, local chambers etc.) under the common goal to decide on activities and interventions that increase city resilience against crime. Under the supervision of the LCCP, BSFS will apply a number of spatial interventions, such as image management, target hardening following the CPTED “Crime Prevention through Environmental Design” model, accompanied by social activation strategies to enhance community cohesion and connectivity at neighbourhood level.
BSFS will also offer a digital platform enabling the assessment of combined physical cyber threats and the visualization of risks and other relevant activities through geospatial mapping to facilitate decision-making.
This project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund through the Urban Innovative Actions Initiative under grant agreement number UIA04-274.
