This week we go horse riding in Mongolia. A journey to the legendary land of the nomads, their unique lifestyle and connection to horses.

Nick works once per year as a motorbike guide and this year, he got Mongolia. It haas been Mathilde's dream for years to travel there. She took it as a cue to go horse ride in Western Mongolia at the Altai mountain range.

Hail storms (thank you Matador for gearing us up with the most compact and high-quality gear, intense but pain from the long hours on the saddle, non stop change of plans and no one around speaks our language.. so many things that could never diminish the beauty of a journey like this one. The human connections made, overcoming fear, the exceptional animals, and the new friends made.

There are things we are not ready to forget... and this journey through Mongolia is part of it!
Next week we go ride motorbikes through the steppes, forests and deserts.

Until next week, take care: and if you have not yet done it: hit the subscribe button!!! It is worth it we promise.

Mongolia's raw beauty is breathtaking. The people are nice and are following their old traditions of living. It is beautiful to see that. Your adventure was tough but you managed to crush it 💪

During my 2004 teaching year in China we journeyed via an overnight train from Beijing into Inner Mongolia, staying the week of a national holiday to explore the terrain of the steppes and reach the border crossings of China, Russia and Mongolia as well. Such an adventure I'll never forget. And it's fun to see all you courageously fit and well kitted out gals here exploring and tasting the culture of Mongolia on horseback as well. I was especially impressed by your compassion for the injured horse and its rider, then deciding not to give up but to hike the extra 15 k to base camp. Wow - kudos to all!

Really loved the scenery of the whole landscape Matil. Felt bad for the Dog and Hores both with bad legs. They kept on going that's animals for you.

All and all that’s one adventure that you won’t soon forget. Those are the best ones! Hard to believe a country with almost no trees can be that beautiful.

Everything, and everyone, in this video is amazing -- wild, beautiful and strong. This is really living. Thanks so much for showing us this incredible place. I have heard so much about Mongolia but have never been there. It's just priceless to see it so close up, in such detail. It's spellbinding.
