Episode preview - The family holiday in the Black Mountains in Germany. Allison is going to paint while Bill works and the children go on a pony trek with Hans. As they approach their destination, a helicopter swoops overhead. Far away in the valley, a young man called Alexai flees for his life. After the ponies are frightened away at their camp, Hans rides off in pursuit but is knocked off the horse and lies unconscious. All their supplies were on the ponies so the children must search for food before they starve. But unbeknown to them, there are greater dangers.

i love these series but just something for the people who haven't read the book, bill wasnt married to mrs cunningham in this book and they went to mountains in wales not germany. And the villians were not searching for children to be paratroopers.

As a kid, I watched the German dub of this show. Now that I'm watching it in English, Habs' fake German accent and terrible pronounciation is hard to endure! 😂
