Also you guys forgot one of the most interesting parts of this story pertaining to the Betz Sphere so I'll fill in that part of the story. As it was mentioned the Betz family had numerous scientists and some of the top government agencies researching their sphere. During one of those investigations one of the family members was at a laboratory having test performed on the sphere while they received a phone call stating that there was a family emergency and they had to get home immediately. I can't remember if they said the mother died but it was something to that effect that was said in the person that was there with the spear took off back home to see what had happened without the sphere because it was in the back with the scientist being examined so they believed it was safe. Fast forward to the arrival of that member back at the house just to find that family member was in perfect health. Realizing they were duped to head back to the left and they were delayed by those in charge saying they couldn't return it at that moment it was being an examined but behind the scenes what was really going on was they were crafting a forgery to give back to the Betz family and that's exactly what happened. When they were handed back to sphere they can see instantly that that wasn't the item they gave them to study because it had that telltale weld seem around it. I can't remember if it was J. Allen Heimlich or Dr. Hardin that pulled a quick one on the family but one of them did. Deterred by the fact that they were getting nowhere with the government that sees their property and all the publicity and harassment they received from this item caused them to move away. And that's everything I remember learning about the Betz Sphere.

I was riding my push bike home from school in rural Australia in the year of 1974 when I heard a metallic hum, I looked to my left to see a shiny metal looking ball skimming across the top of the field leaving a wake in the knee high grass as it snaked towards me. I squeezed my brakes as it crossed the road in front of me just missing my front wheel. It zigzagged off at the same height on the other side of the road at great speed humming all the way until I couldn't see or hear it any more. It wasn't threatening in any way and I quickly learnt not to mention it again to anyone. It was real, it did happen, and it was a good 20yrs later before I heard of similar sightings which brought it all back to me. 💯 % true story.

I found one of these on a beach on the isle of arran, Scotland, when I was about 8 years old. Tried to play football with it, it rolled off across the beach when I kicked it, there was a man in like a white test suit with a helmet on with a visor waving his hands for me to stop, he picked it up and walked through a door in-between some sand dunes, so I ran to tell my mum and dad, who came to see what it was, only for it to be swapped out to a polystyrene box shaped object that turned out to be a box from a weather balloon. Went to look for the door but it wasn't there. Mum and dad thaught it was just a mix up and has never believed it, putting it down to talking gobbledygook and just a story that I made up. Never thought I'd see another one, thanks 👍

Quita a few years ago my brother was working on a building site in Glasgow, Scotland. It was a Friday afternoon when he and his workmate were packing up tools in the safety container for the weekend . As they approached the container, they noticed a metal/silver ball hovering over materials and other work related items . The ball slowly moved towards the door of the unit and then sped off into the sky at speed untill it disappeared... To this day they both cannot explain what they experienced in front of them !To me, it's absolutely fascinating ...

I like how the Betz family idea of experimenting on the sphere was to hit it with a hammer, and then to wildly shake it. Now that's science!

I remember lolling out my window, noticed a lot of different species of birds flying away from something. Looked at the skies for any incoming storm, the sky was clear so I look back and amongst the flapping birds I could see a small metallic sphere, no bigger that a football, gliding silently and about eye level with me on the 3rd floor of my flat. It just flew away slowly and silently until I could no longer see it.

You guys forgot one big thing, the family was going to be on TV with the ball so they flew out to the TV station but everything fell thru at the last second so they had to go all the way back home completely wasting their time but when they got back home they realized the people who they brought the ball to stole it and gave the family a regular metal ball, the family was furious because the government set up that whole wild goose chase of a trip just to steal the ball from them and then the people who originally contacted the family acted like they never met, talked, or had any contact at all with each other. that's when the family moved away and said fk everyone.
