No Boeing announcement about the 797 has been made. They said "An aircraft project when it happens will be made in the PNW." It was a nod to prevent a union strike which failed. They are on strike now.

The problems begin when bean counters McDonnell Douglas took over. The 797 should be a widebody, something the size of a 767-200. I don’t care what they say. If someone’s going to be in a plane transcon or 6-11 hours or longer the plane should be a widebody.

Boeing needs to stop dreaming and start building better-quality aircraft. China's airplanes, AMCA, are surpassing Boeing's quality by far. Also, Boeing needs to take care of its employees and stop giving Calhoun a $45M raise.
