Показать описание
We are back with another new episode of Better than the Best. It’s time to make the Starbucks Caramel Frappuccino BETTER!
Here’s the recipe 👇
Brewed Coffee:
Roasted Coffee Beans - ¼ Cup
Water (hot) - 1 Cup
Caramel Syrup:
Sugar - ½ Cup
Water - 2 tbsp
Butter - 2 tbsp
Others:
Vanilla Essence - ½ tsp
Fresh Cream - ½ Cup
Salt - ¼ tsp
Ice - As Needed
Sugar - 2 tbsp
Milk - 1 Cup
Fresh Cream (optional) - 2 tbsp
Whipped Cream - As Needed
Instructions:
1. For the brewed coffee, grind the roasted beans to a powder that is not too fine.
2. Place on a strainer and pour 1 cup of boiling water in a steady slow stream.
3. For a strong coffee, repeat the same process over the beans.
4. For the caramel sauce, add the sugar in a pan and heat.
5. Once it starts caramelizing, mix well and ensure it is even. Allow it to develop an amber colour, not too dark.
6. Turn the flame to a simmer and stir in the butter. Once melted, add the fresh cream and mix well.
7. Add the salt and vanilla to finish and switch off the flame. Allow the syrup to cool completely. It will thicken up to a pouring consistency.
8. To make the drink, add 1 Cup of the brewed coffee (of choice) to a blender along with 2 tbsp of the caramel sauce, 1 Cup of milk, 2 tbsp of sugar, 2 tbsp of fresh cream(optionally) and a lot of ice. Blend until smooth and well combined.
9. Pour into a glass and top with whipped cream and some more caramel sauce. Serve chilled/ immediately.
Cooking Tips:
1. Instead of brewing your own coffee from the beans, you can use instant coffee powder, espresso, or filter coffee.
2. The brewing method can be simple as shown with a strainer, with a percolator, french press or moka pot.
3. You can use vanilla essence and sugar or you can make/ use a vanilla flavored simple/ sugar syrupto prepare this drink.
4. You can use an non-dairy milk, if needed. Skip the fresh cream as well.
5. If the caramel turns too dark, it will be bitter.
