Science | Cape Town hosts IAU's 32nd General Assembly

Astronomical knowledge and research and the use of astronomy as a tool for development, are among the key issues that will be focused on during the International Astronomical Union's 32nd General Assembly, currently underway in Cape Town. The gathering will also be used to stimulate the use of astronomy for teaching and education globally. The historic gathering is being held on the African continent for the first time in its 105-year history.
