The Boozy Ginger Gingerbread Latte Recipe

Skip Starbucks and make this gingerbread latte at home. Here is the recipe for the gingerbread syrup:
*Gingerbread Syrup
1 cup water
1 cup brown sugar
¼ cup of fresh ginger peeled and chopped
1 cinnamon stick
1/4 teaspoon whole allspice
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves:
In a medium saucepan, combine the water, brown sugar, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves.
Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar.
Reduce the heat to low and simmer the syrup for 5-10 minutes, or until it has thickened slightly.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature.
Transfer the syrup to a jar or bottle and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
