We set out on an adventure to visit Indonesia's viral lake, and the world's most beautiful lake travelling to the Banggai islands in Central Sulawesi, we find some other secret gems along the way and we finish off the video visiting this crazy clear lake!

thats my home island. i am from there in Kecamatan Liang, the otherside of this village. The ethnic group is Suku Banggai. the name of this island is Pulau Peling. so many tourism palace in this island but not too much visited by foreign tourist. i am really thankfull for your honest review. If you don't know already Bajo tribe (the part you wrote Bajau) is the inspiration for Avatar 2, legend says that people there can still dive for a very long time underwater without taking a breath to the surface. I was there less than a year ago and yes Banggai Sea is quite beautiful.

Minute 5:00 made me so emotional. I was born and spent the first 24 years of my life in Indonesia and the next 26 years in a western country. Can't express how it feels to see how not only they're so fascinated by you but you them, to see that you visiting them is closing the gap between the west and east. Just love it!

you can find another blue river on another island in Indonesia. such as Danau Kaco - Jambi; Danau labuan cermin - Kalimantan timur, Danau Samares - Papua, TELAGA BIRU TULUNG NI LENGGO-kalimantan timur, Danau Tebing Makariki - Maluku, Danau Biru Walasiho - Sulawesi Tenggara, and some blue rivers still hidden :)

There is also similar one in Raja Ampat thats so called Blue River with striking blue waters surrounded by the deepest shades of the green jungle vegetation. Raja Ampat itself is well known as the best diving spot in the world. You guys might as well add it to ur bucket list.

wow, after maratua then banggai.. thank you for bringing up this place to the world. i know this is a long long journey and costs a lot... i mean really a lot... not many locals wanna do this even for international tourists like you are.. did you visit the banggai tribe community? they build their house above the water. some history said that they came from the phillipines...
