Automated Conveyor Belt Sorting Machine

The system that is to be controlled is a sorting machine consisting of a conveyer belt, a slid for sorting sticks into three compartments and a laser sensor. The conveyer and slid is controlled using two geared DC motors each having a tachometer and potentiometer respectively for measuring the angular velocity of the conveyer belt and angle of the slid. The system interfaces to a digital control system using a 16 bit AD/DA converter with a range from -10 to 10 volts.
