SCP-096 VS SCP-343

SCP 096 is a Euclid Class anomaly also known as The Shy Guy.
SCP 343 is a Safe Class anomaly also known as God.

SCP-096 is a humanoid creature measuring approximately 2.38 meters in height. When someone views SCP-096's face, whether it be directly, via video recording, or even a photograph, it will enter a stage of considerable emotional distress. SCP096 will cover its face with its hands and begin screaming, crying, and babbling incoherently. Approximately one (1) to two (2) minutes after the first viewing, SCP-096 will begin running to the person who viewed its face (who will from this point on be referred to as SCP-096-1).

SCP-343 is a male, seemingly race-less, humanoid in appearance with apparent omnipotence. SCP343 was discovered walking the streets of Prague and detained after a staff member witnessed him disappear from the streets and reappear on a rooftop. SCP-343 is detained willingly in his chamber, as containment has proved impossible. SCP-343, colloquially nicknamed 'God' by the staff.

Makes sense. SCP-096 has shown the desire for friendship before in some alt timelines where he befriends blind people. Something is making him do this and won't let him stop? I can believe it. Some SCPs are made of crazier stuff.

I actually like this explanation of 343. I always wanted to believe that he was God but was skeptical because he isn't completely omnipotent and omniscient. The idea that he's less powerful when in a physical form makes sense

It feels like a story like this would make sense. If he is God, then being able to survive a 096 encounter sounds viable.

I know consistency is optional in the SCP universe... but if 096 has encountered both 343 and 682 (whose connection in turn is interesting to say the least), and all three are still around... then clearly, 096 must have come to terms in some way with the idea that there are certain observers it can't destroy. Also, the unkillable nature of both 096 and 682 is another interesting common trait. What if they evolved from a common ancestor? Or maybe both are creations of an entity like the Scarlet King or the Devourer of Worlds...

This actually answers a question I’ve been wondering for a long time about the shy guy. Was it the simple act of viewing his face that triggered him, or could he somehow sense the emotion the followed the act of peering unto his visage? I had previously theorized what might happen if somehow someone held the capacity to look upon him with no fear, no judgement, no resignation, and no animosity. Maybe his rage was a reaction to the negative emotions present naturally when a being sees something they do not like. That if someone were to view him through the eyes of a being who can simply see things for what they are and not how they perceive them to be, then he might not be flung into his state of imperceptible rage. However, if this anomalous God is to be believed, then this state of rage is truly just an unfortunate and uncontrollable aspect of its biology. One that it cannot stop and would sooner do away with if it could

I feel like this could have also been the moment when 343 learned not to mess with anomalies that weren't his creations, which would come up thousands of years later when the SCP foundation tried to get him to dispose of 682.

While I'm always skeptical of 343 being actual GOD, I don't mind the tales of him acting like a benevolent god. In general, I like the stories were the SCPs comfort each other. I'd like to see more of SCP-053 (Young Girl) and 682 getting along. I want to see SCP-999 heal his broken family. SCP-423 (self inserting character) and SCP-085 (Hand-Drawn Cassy) hanging out so Cassy isn't as lonely.
