If this was smaller and had a matte bezel it would be an instant buy for me.

I bought this monitor but I need to know this set up for photo & video making.. especially sRGB or so. brightness, contrast.. Can you help? color management.. sRGB setting? sync to photoshop? Can I use this monitor as a photo & video creator monitor?

Thanks for the review. Can You tell me, how BLB look on your model? Because on mine is terrible. It's look like 4 flashlights in 4 corners :/

Great Marcus! I already had this monitor in mind for my coming PC renewal and this review has been quite useful to confirm my choice.

Its supposed to be FreeSync 2. Did you try the Adaptative Sync functionality with an Nvidia graphics card on your PC? It may not work as smoothly as with an AMD one.

Yeah Philips definitely make great monitors. Had a couple recently. Got a Philips 32 inch 1440p VA panel with 48-75hz Freesync. Was half the price of this, and a good budget option. 328E9FJAB/00

Thanks a lot for this very informative video! I hope you don't mind if I ask some questions. I have never had anything above 1200p (yes), but mostly 1080p. Right now I have two 21" IPS from 2012 or so. I think about replacing one of these with a 4k screen. I also would like to connect my Xbox 1 X to it and of course my PC. I need it mostly for work (home office these days), but also for gaming and some photo editing. I don't really care about photo editing, since my recent monitors will certainly not be better.
I also don't see a problem connecting the Xbox to it. But what about PC gaming? Is it possible to set the games to 1440p without making the games look absolute crap? It would be great if I could keep my GPU, since this is a particularly bad time to buy a new GPU (for all those who read this in a few months: AMD and Nvidia released Radon 6000 and RTX 30xx series and no one can buy any of those because bots buy everything). I don't mind if the picture is a little soft (read: not crystal clear) but it should be a pleasing experience overall. Also I don't know if there are ways to enable anything like upscaling or something similar in the AMD drivers. I just never had the chance to deal with such things and have absolutely no experience, since I had 1080p for the last 10 years or so. All gaming is non-competetetive and single-player to maybe 80% with some PUBG now and then or slow-paced space combats (Elite Dangerous).
Sorry for the wall of text, an answer is highly appreciated! You earned a new subscriber, too ;)
Stay safe! Best wishes from Hamburg.

can't seem to avoid getting unusable black crush on HDR mode (PC/PS4). Could you share your settings?

Hi, great video, I really liked it. I also have some questions for you:

1. I have read many reviews on different platforms (not only amazon) from people who bought this monitor and they complain a lot about very bad backlight bleeding hitting every angle of the display and making it very annoying to play or to watch movies in the dark. Did you experience those issues?

2. I have also read many people complaining about crosshatching, grainy screen surface that makes pixels visible if you sit close to the screen and text which is not very clear and can be annoying to read. What can you tell me about that?

3. there are also many complaints about HDR bad performance in dark scenes and other problems such as when a bright object moves quickly across the screen, the local dimming zones aren't able to keep up, causing a glowing trail behind it. Did you notice that on your monitor?

4. What can you tell about colours? Are they so over-saturated as to appear innatural? I have read e.g. that reds are rendered so saturated to appear browns sometimes and similar issues. Do you find the colour saturation to be excessive on this monitor?

5. Is it true that it has bad colours uniformity across the screen? I have read many people complaining about colours being nice at the center of the screen but then becoming washed out at the edges of the screen

6. what can you tell me about the scaling of non native contents on this monitor? If you set 1080p and 1440p resolutions on this 4k monitor, how does it scale? Do games look blurred and softened at 1080p/1440P? And what about pictures, videos and text when you set non native resolutions? Do they get blurred or do they remain sharp?

Great review. Just saw this today and was considering but will hold off. I've had a Dell S2716DG for about 4 years now and looking to upgrade to something a bit newer and (hopefully) more vibrant. What would you recommend for a £500-700ish monitor?

Anybody know about Nvidia compatibility? Only long review of this states that VRR and HDR will not work at the same with Nvidia, but it is supposed to be Freesync 2. Wondering if that was just HDMI limitation on the review? Should work with Display port? Cannot find any info about this online

If only it had come sooner, i got an xbox one x, a ps4 pro, a switch and a PC with an RTX 2070 super, but i bought an LG27UK600W monitor it is 4k HDR (only 400 nits i think) IPS its not bad and i can’t complain but this one seems a little better, with three HDMI and 600 nits, it’s VA so there’s that but oh well, think i will wait for an affordable 4k 144hz monitor
