1. Unemployment Rate?
- It is defined as the percentage of unemployed workers in the total labor force.
- Workers are considered unemployed if they currently do not work, despite the fact that they are able and willing to do so.
- It provides insights into the economy’s spare capacity and unused resources.
- There are different types of unemployment:
a) Frictional unemployment - It refers to temporary unemployment during the period when people are searching for a job.
b) Structural unemployment - It is a mismatch between workers’ skills or locations and job requirements.
c) Seasonal unemployment - It is caused by seasonal patterns in economic activity, such as harvesting or tourism.

2. Labor Force Participation Rate ?
- It is the measure to evaluate working-age population in an economy.
- It refers to the total number of people or individuals who are currently employed or in search of a job.
- People who are not looking for a job such as full-time students, homemakers, individuals above the age of 64 etc. will not be a part of the data set.
- This is an important metric when the economy is not growing or is in the phase of recession.
- At the time of recession, it is generally seen that the labour force participation rate goes down. because, at the time of recession, the economic activity is very low which results in fewer jobs across the country. When there are fewer jobs, people are discouraged to focus on employment which eventually leads to lower participation rate.

3. Female Labor Force Participation Rate?

- It is a measure of the proportion of a country’s female working-age population that engages actively in the labour market, either by working or looking for work.
- Specifically in the India context, the female labour force participation has had a decadal fall from 36.7 per cent in 2005 to 26 per cent in 2018.
- Reasons : Lack of education, access to quality education, digital divide which limits them from gaining employable skill sets and entering the workforce etc.
- It further added that a set of underlying social, economic & political barriers limits opportunities for women.

4. Worker Population Ratio ?
- It is defined as the number of persons employed per thousand persons.
- This is an indicator used for analyzing the employment situation in the country.
- This is also useful in knowing the proportion of population that is actively contributing to the production of goods and services in the economy.

- Mutual Logistics Sport Agreement.
- India and Australia have signed this historic agreement, to allow access to military bases for logistics support.
- This was agreed upon at the first-ever virtual bilateral summit between India Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Australian counterpart Scott Morrison.
- It will facilitate reciprocal access to military logistics facilities, allow more complex joint military exercise and improve interoperability between the security forces of the two nations.
- It allows reciprocal access to military facilities in terms of logistics support which generally include food, water, petroleum (fuel), spare parts and other components.
- It will be useful during joint military exercises, peacekeeping operations, Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief operations, scheduled deployments of military platforms, and any other exigent situations that may arise.
- It will help in improving interoperability between the involved parties.
