Lynxmotion AL5D robotic arm problem

It seems it might be the power supply because whenever some resistance is applied it seems to overload it. It does have the 6 Volt 3 Amp supply.

I think it is kind of safety feature: arm dies if you try to put it into position that it can not go.
E.g. here is cannot fully close grip because that object is in between. Try to close only partially. I have had similar issues.

Did you ever figure this out? Thinking about buying onewould like to know your thoughts
