Seriously slide out the match that's used to close the weave gap and you reveal the tiny weave gap in the centre made by the flat ends of the matches, which is square. I learned that from a kids' book when I was in primary school.

I paused it before seeing the answer...from looking at how the matches are sitting move the top Match up until it lines up with the other matches and now you have a square in the center
