If we put as much effort into Nuclear as we do other types of power it would be a no brainer.

Nuclear needs a re-branding. Also we need to make sure the containment systems on new plants prevent any escape of contamination in the unlikely event that a meltdown does happen.

Nuclear is the best and most clean/safe

The French are independent thanks to a large number of nuclear plants. They've been operating many nuclear plants over 60 years.

There’s multiple answers to being more sustainable. Take your pick, but actually backing research and infrastructure growth is ultimately gonna make or break the success of these alternative energy sources. Gotta hate the other side tho. Polarization ftw

For the record is a enormous difference between what happened at Chernobyl versus Fukushima disasters: one was man-made, the other nature-based. Shortly after Fukushima, the crazy people came out in Germany advocating to shut down all nuclear plants because "Look what happened to Fukushima" 🤦‍♂ even though that disaster was first initiated by an underwater earthquake, followed by tsunamis, hitting the power plant versus Chernobyl being cheap quality design and combination of human error. Nuclear plants require huge upfront capital and take years to build because of all the safeties and careful designs required (as one does for nuclear) therefore an investor doesn't start to gain net profits from operating that plant until something like a decade later.

The Earth’s core is a huge nuclear reactor. About 70% of the heat generated from the core is from nuclear reactions.

Yes...this is a no brainer. We should not be looking at solar and green crude, but practical solutions and nuclear is top of the list.

HE KNOWS ABOUT THE SMOG OF NEW DEHLI (INDIA) BUT NOT THE SMOG IN THE USA. THE PLACE HE LIVES IN. ITS A SHAME!

Generation III+ reactors are also passively cooled.

Nuclear energy isn’t as great as it sounds and not as bad as it sounds. You have to emit Co2 to get uranium and risk life’s getting it. On the other hand about 8million people die a year from Co2. Nuclear energy is the second safest alternative energy source behind hydro but with recent advancements to the coolers can take the number 1 spot. For people who are worried about the radiation that’s have domes around where the radiation comes out to prevent it leaking into near by ecosystems and usually have a radius where people aren’t allowed to prevent people from getting radiation poisoning.

We should be ready for a major disaster and the way to get ready, in my opinion, is to build 100 small modular reactors (molten salt reactors -- government should sponsor farther development) put inside of ICBM-like silo that is resistant to a direct nuclear attack, electromagnetic pulse attack or event, flooding and earthquakes. They should be spread throughout the USA. We should all write to our representatives demanding emergency preparedness through the use of the cutting edge nuclear technology. We should also ask them: what are they ready to do in the case of a nuclear war or increased volcanic activity when the light of the sun does not reach the ground?

Is nice for house to have solar panels but doesn’t mean the power should come from solar etc. nuclear with houses with solar it nice

A lot of Nuclear power plant are right next to the ocean or other bodies of water. Takes 10-15 years to build them and shut them down. If they believe in Sea level rise how are these not being shut down

As long as it's not built next to your home right?

The uselessness of Adam knows no bounds.. talking 1945 dropping crude atoms bombs straight from the Manhattan project and talking 75+ years and nuclear energy.. you can tell he thinks he’s on it too 😂😂😂

For most people who know about nuclear energy know this is direction we should head in but it’s all up to government and political parties.

Uranium radiation is harmless. You've been lied to about nuclear ⚛ power and bombs.
