'It's All Perspective!' | FLERFPRATT 11

Whenever everyday observations disprove the flat Earth, flerfs yell "BUT PERSPECTIVE!!!" But of course, they don't know what perspective is... or how zoom works. Not even on their "magical" P900s, that apparently can bring things back into view from beyond the horizon.

I have second-hand embarrassment from that image of the sun 93 million miles "up". They prove over and over that they can't think spatially in 3D. That one was painful!

Flat Earth models are a matter of perspective: The closer you look at them, the more obvious their flaws get.

If a flerfer tries to tell you you can bring a ship sailing over the horizon back into view by zooming in, ask them why they can see the upper part of the far end of the bows of the ship (furthest away from your eye), but not the bottom of the stern of the ship (which should be the closest part of the ship to your eye)

For those who parrot that an orthographic doesn’t show perspective note that he just used one to show how perspective works.

The Flat Earther "perspective" argument is a Reification Fallacy.
Its also weird how Flat Earthers try and use Geometry to disprove Globe Earth, but then drop Geometry to prove Flat Earth and go with "perspective" or what is the flavor of the month.

The main thing I take away from the "perspective" claim from flat earthers is that they not only fail at science, they fail at art as well.

Every single FE explanation ever offered conflicts with at least one of their other explanations, making it categorically impossible for both to be true. And flerfs have no problem with that.

Nikon P900 sales will never recover from this

Sydney Australia is outside the path of the Sun even during the December solstice. In December, in Sydney, the bearing to the Sun traverses an angle of over 220 degrees from OUTSIDE the circle of the Sun's path on a flat Earth. Yet no flerf sees a problem in that fact demonstrating either their inability, or refusal to verify disproving stuff for themselves.

I wouldn't have even been able to decipher that 93 million miles image... I'm glad you're here.

Errata: the P900 and P1000 series are bridge cameras with fixed lenses, not DSLRs.

When flerfs say «perspective», they are actually talking about the magical flerspective. Flerspective can make an object that is above a surface go under that surface when it moves far enough from the observer, while simultaneously raising above that same surface when seen by another observer.
We all know that flerfs can't 3D, can't perspective, can't proportion, can't reality.

I will never understand how they think perspective explains the sun going away at night when their model has it floating above the plane of the Earth all the time. If it is always above the horizon, it will always be visible, no matter how far away it is.

Why can I see stars that are further away, even in their own useless model, but I can't see the sun? This makes no sense.

The moon is enough on its own to smash the Flat Earth model. You can tell that the moon must be at a great distance from the Earth's surface, because it's angular size remains constant between rising and setting. It must be a large object, at a distance that is large enough to swamp out distance variables.

2:07 — Very nice microtypography, Marty! You took time and set all the correct special characters! Good job!
Left a like. Thank you for another video!

perspective noun (ART)
The way that objects appear smaller when they are further away and the way parallel lines appear to meet each other at a point in the distance:
Perspective is a DRAWING concept and has zero use in reality

For the continent apparent sizes, SciManDan had the idea of demonstrating the same thing you did but instead of using an animation, he took 2 photos of a toy globe. That way, "it's CGI" can't be used as rebuttal. They dodge it as a result :'D

Thanks for another great video about the ridicule of flerfers. Despite all available information at a fingertip today, they still won't die out.
It's the old story, if reality doesn't conform to their fantasy, reality has to be fake.

Funny, at night we can see the stars that are behind the sun, but not the sun itself.

Can we change PRATT to PROAZO, points refuted on a zillion occasions? I think they blew through a thousand years ago.

On Pizzaworld, with the Sun shifting between the Tropics throughout the year, on a given day in the North Pole if you can see it all, you should see it all day because its distance doesn't significantly change, and conversely if you don't see it at some point during the day, you shouldn't see it at all all day. There are no in-between options in this model from this position because the Sun's distance from the NP in PancakeWorld essentially stays the same all day.
