In this video, I read one of the most popular books on Tiktok, The Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. The Fourth Wing didn't sound like a book I'd enjoy, which is why I waited so long to read it. But since the Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros is coming out soon, I decided it was time to try reading it. Shockingly, I ended up really enjoying it.

Okay I watched the whole video expecting you to give this a one star based on the thumbnail 😂 But other than that, I loved the video and the concept itself. Loved the editing with the different scenes and your narration was great. You should do more videos like that, it's interesting to witness someone's progress. It made me want to try the book just to compare my experience with yours :) keep the good work !

Personally I was underwhelmed by this book. Like it just felt so flat and things continued to just spiral downward. The dragons are the only parts that's really well don't in my opinion and tbh, I only cared about the dragons, not even that actual people, the plot holes drove me nuts. The book as whole is inconsistent

I felt exactly how you felt about reading 💀. Its a good book. Not the best i would say. (Overrated). Reminds me a lot about Harry Potter but for adults. I am a fantasy reader myself. I really enjoyed the book but i won't read it again. I think the smut really turned it down for me. It's good but I have read better(fan fiction writers have better smut I swear)

From a writer's perspective, she could have done better. The plot was amazing. But the writing was not it for me.

Edit : I watched more videos of other booktubers. I actually agree with them. There were a few things which made me question the plot. ( plot holes honestly) but I decided to ignore them. It's a nice one time read if you wanna enjoy it but reading as a writer ? I don't think you are gonna enjoy that. I am not saying I agree with everything the booktubers said like 'why are they all killing each other? Like what' I understand where the booktubers come from but sometimes I think they forget the psychology of things. (I am a psych major and absolutely obsessed with it) . To me, the question mentioned made sense on why they would do it but it's the author's failure that she couldn't make the other readers understand why and how. I am also expecting those plot holes to be covered up in the next few books.(don't know if they will be) but let's see.

I might have enjoyed the book if I hadn't already read Hunger Games and Divergent. The deja vu was so bad I kept wondering why Four and Tris changed their names. The last time I had reading deja vu this bad, I'd stumbled over a case of word-for-word plagiarism.
